Nigeria Vs Cameroon: Coach, Hugo Broos Reacts To Heavy Defeat

The coach of the Indomitable Lions, Cameroon, Hugo Broos has reacted to the heavy defeat his side suffered in the hands of Super Eagles in Uyo on Friday.
The gaffer said he was not frightened about the prospect of being fired.
Nigeria battered Broos’ side 4-0 in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying game in Akwa Ibom State on Friday and will travel to Cameroon for a return on Monday.
Following the result, Broo’s job is understood to be under extreme pressure and their chances of qualifying for Russia looks very slim.
He told reporters after the game, “I am not afraid of that and I don’t think about that.
“Football is the same for a coach. Today they hail you; tomorrow they kill you – so no big difference with me.
“So I am not afraid even if we don’t make it to the Fifa World Cup.”
Broos also admitted that his side did not do well in the and met a better side.
He said there is no hope for Cameroon to qualify for the world since they have to win three matches and also expect Nigeria to lose same number of game.
He added, “The best team won. Nigeria were better than us.
“In the first 20 minutes of the first half and the beginning of the second half, we did what we needed to do, but for the rest of the game, Nigeria were better, more determined and first to ever ball.
“We lost 4-0 but they had another three of four chances and it could have been more.
“There is no hope. We have to win three games and Nigeria have to lose three games. That’s not possible.”
